Certificate Programs Applications are Open and Filling Up
At the last Forma Conference we were very excited to announce the Certificate in Family and Youth Ministry and the Certificate in leadership of Lifelong Formation. These are two programs that have been asked for by many groups for a long time. Each certificate has their differences about who they are targeted to and who can apply, but both are being taught by Christian Formation leaders who have had success and a lot of experience in their field. More information about both as well as applications can be found at faithformationacademy.org The Certificate in Family and Youth Ministry is designed for those who are actively engaged in the practice of youth ministry or feel called to deepen their own understanding of the practice of youth ministry. The program will equip participants with a foundational learning, rooted in the practical application to their specific ministry context. This program is designed to provide an overview of core biblical, theological, Episcopal, and practical knowledge that will be applied directly to the practice of ministry with youth and their families. Each participant will complete a Ministry Statement and a Ministry Plan for their specific setting, as a way of integrating their learning and the practice of ministry. The Certificate in Leadership in Lifelong Christian Formation (CLLCF) is designed for those who have demonstrated on-the-ground experience in a congregation (or other context) in the area of Christian Formation. Participants are required to have completed five years of full-time (or equivalent) ministry. The goal is to equip practitioners with supplementary preparation and the additional learning and tools they need to enable in-depth Christian Formation leadership for their congregations and communities. The program is designed to customize learning to individual needs. Applications are being acceptedfor the limited spaces we have, apply soon.
